Operating History and Reputation: As a brand under Viet star cruises JSC., Lyra Cruise Collection was designed and built by VISEC, a shipbuilding company with over 20 years of experience in design and construction of cruise ships, under the same group’s ownership. This strong foundation ensures that every vessel is crafted with advanced safety standards and superior craftsmanship.

Shipbuilding Standards & Safety Design: Our vessels are designed and built with advanced technology, fully meeting national maritime safety standards. The strong steel structure and stable hull design are thoughtfully engineered to ensure good resilience in various weather conditions, providing absolute peace of mind for our guests.

• Double bottom and reinforced side structures meeting Coastal ship standards.
• Double redundancy for all machineries, in two separate engine rooms, ensure uninterrupted ship operation.
• Ship stability index is more than two times compared to the government regulation ‘s requirement, ensuring highest safety and minimizing the impact of large waves and strong winds.
• Modern alarm devices and camera systems throughout the vessel keep all operations under close monitoring 24/7.
• Handrail height meets the standard of 1.1m. Gaps are less than 0.1m, with a climb-prevention design – ensuring safety for both adults and children.

II. Modern Equipment & Professional Procedures

Steering System & High-Speed Support Boats: The cruise ships are equipped with a modern steering system, which allows for precise control of the voyage. In addition, all our cruises have high-speed support boats that are always ready to safely transport guests between attractions or respond to emergency situations.

Rescue Equipment & Safety Gear: The cruises are fully equipped with rescue equipment such as life jackets, life rafts, etc., which are arranged . All are regularly inspected and strictly comply with maritime safety regulations, ready for use when needed.

• In Each Cabin: International standard life jackets, emergency hammers, and flashlights. Windows or balconies are designed to serve as emergency exits when needed.
• In Public Areas: A full system of life jackets for all passengers is placed in public areas. Large self-inflating life rafts are available with sufficient capacity for all passengers and crew.

Operation & Communication System: The GPS navigation system, radar, and VHF communication equipment are operational 24/7. The vessel is always connected to the operations center to ensure the fastest support in case of an emergency.

Fire Safety Standards: Lyra Cruise Collection has installed an automatic fire alarm system and a modern fire extinguishing system in all areas of the ship. Interior construction materials are carefully selected to meet fire-resistant standards, ensuring maximum safety for our guests and crew.

Periodic Inspection & Maintenance: Our cruises undergo regular inspection and maintenance according to a strict schedule set by the Vietnam Register of Shipping. In addition, we also conduct daily internal inspections and maintenance to ensure all systems and amenities are always operating in the best condition.

IV. Safe Operations & Regulatory Compliance

Response Plan for Typhoons or Strong Winds: We proactively and closely monitor all weather forecasts from the Bay Management Board. When a forecast for typhoons or strong winds is issued, we immediately implement response plans, including adjusting the itinerary, finding a safe anchorage, or suspending operations to ensure the absolute safety of our guests.

• The dual anchoring system keeps the ship securely in place during strong winds.
• In case of an emergency, high-speed support boats and life rafts will be deployed immediately to transport passengers to a safe location.

Ha Long Bay Management Board Regulations: The Bay Management Board will issue an order prohibiting ships from departing in case of a typhoon, tropical depression, or other dangerous conditions. Lyra Cruise Collection is committed to strictly complying with all regulations regarding safety, itinerary, and operating areas issued by the Ha Long Bay Management Board.
